Chile prepares for the First National CBT Encounter

According to its policy of fostering the development of local networks and improving the possibilities of local CBT entrepreneurs, Travolution.org is co-organizing this First National Encounter along with Centro Cultural Rayen We Keche and the Municipality of Contulmo.

The event counts with the active support of several organizations including the National Service of Tourism (Sernatur) and Sendero de Chile Foundation.

Others will join this great event for the chilean CBT entrepreneurships and the whole society, since it will be an excellent window for chileans to learn about their possibilites for the next summer holidays!

CBT encounter in Ecuador

During the 8th and 9th of July, in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador the FEPTCE (Ecuatorian plurinational federation of community based tourism) has organized the IV National Community Based Tourism and Solidarity Economy Encounter.

In the encounter the touristic activities and policies developed by different entrepreneurs around the country and aspects related to solidarity economy will be discussed.

How the indigenous communities of the country deal with these matters will be of special enphasis in the Encounter.

We hope everything goes all right for our friends in Ecuador and that this shall be an example for similar initiatives all around the Globe!

gastronomic feria in the south of Chile

In the 98th anniversary of the Curanilahue municipality, the community of Trongol Alto delighted the visitors with an extraordinary demonstration of culinary talent!

They presented delicious preparations with country flavours, using only organic and self-cultivated products!
The feria was a great experience for the Trongol entrepreneurs who are now expecting visitors from all over the World to enjoy much more than their dishes! To enjoy unforgettable experiences amidst the Araucarias and mountains of the Nahuelbuta region!!

We want to thank all of you who are contributing to make this Travolution a better way for local sustainable development and creating opportunities for genuine encounters all over the World!
The challenge is enormous, but if we all work together, from all the corners of our planet, we will achieve our goal!!

Unforgettable trip in the north of Chile

During last weekend, Travolution.org and the EcoRed LickanAntay organiced a great experience for 9 travellers from different parts of the World, including Chile, Uruguay, Brasil and Holland.
The EcoRed delighted its visitors with an Astronomic excursion altogether with a healing and meditative session for some, a guided excursion through the andean town of Socaire, visiting the Church and terrace-slopes crops.
After that and as a Grand Finalle, all the visitors enjoyed delicious lunchs prepared by Mrs. Belarmina and Ernestina, who presented special meat and chicken dishes sided by purple potatoes, quinoa, broad beans and other fruits of their work.
Everything was accompanied by an excellent pisco-sour made with Ricarica (Acantholippia deserticola) and a secret dessert prepared with Chañar (Geoffroea decorticans) fruits.

A weekend with Pehuenche flavours

This Weekend, Lonquimay and Malalcahuello will have Pehuenche flavours . The local gastronomy entrepreneurs have organized both a Feria and a display.

The Feria, carried out by TURUCA network of rural community based tourism will take place the whole weekend in Malalcahuello and there you will be able to enjoy all locally made and grown products brought by several Pehuenche communities from all around.

And on saturday, you will be able to taste the most delicious flavours in the Follil Pehuenche hostal, in Lonquimay. Alicia and other women from Quinquen have prepared this unforgettable event for you, with products made from the Araucaria seed: the Piñon

Iberoamerican Congress of tourism patrimony

During the 11, 12 & 13th of this April the Universidad Central and the Instituto del Patrimonio Turístico will carry out the First Iberoamerican Congress of Tourism Patrimony.

The event will include presentation by important academists in the tourism and patrimony domains, and also presentations of interesting entrepreunerships creating innovative ways of enhancing the use of local patrimony through tourism.

Travolution.org will present its Tour Operator program in the congress as a way of giving tourists an opportunity of authentic and deep encounters with local communities all along the country and, in the future, the World, and also as a means for communities to foster their local identity and preserving their intangible and natural patrimony.

Responsible tourism seminar in Stgo, Chile.

EuroChile foundation, according to its goal of promoting economic and technologic cooperation between Europe and Chile, is organizing this seminar to discuss about the project they have just finished in the Lauca national Park, north of Chile.
Tomas de Azcarate president of the UNESCO centre of Canarias and president of the Responsible Tourism Institute of Spain, and the british expert Allan Rhodes will comment the project.
In this opportunity, the book Reserva de la Biósfera Lauca. Oportunidades y perspectivas para un turismo sustentable will be released.

Many travolutionaries will assist to this seminar and a meeting will be developed on the day after.
